El campus de la ciudad, Madrid-Almagro, está situado en el centro de Madrid y es la sede de la Escuela de Postgrado de la UCJC. El Dr. Pedro Sánchez, Presidente del Gobierno de España, se doctoró en la UCJC[1].
La universidad lleva el nombre del Premio Nobel de Literatura Camilo José Cela, quien puso la primera piedra de la universidad, junto con Felipe Segovia Olmo, entonces presidente y fundador de la Institución Educativa SEK, de la que forma parte esta universidad.
